OZNVK "Kolkivska ZOSH I-III degrees-lyceum" in cooperation with the Union of Graduates of the S. Stasitsa Gymnasium-Lyceum (city of Zgezh, Poland) once again won the project competition and received additional financing (in the amount of EUR 23,447.23) from the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Exchange Council with a grant from the Ministry of Education of Poland. The implementation of the project called "The future depends on us" aims to support youth initiatives. The program of meetings is designed so that between live communication, integration and entertainment, the goal of informal education is not lost, which consists in changing the approach to one's environment, promoting openness to other cultures.

Photography plays an important role in the project - as an element not only documentary, but also artistic. We aim to design the space that we want to change - according to our dreams (at least on the example of our own yard). Also, the goal of the project is to prepare and conduct public debates (with the participation of local self-government bodies) that will relate to constructive changes in the immediate environment. The exhibition "Metamorphoses" will be prepared, where we will show places in Ukraine and Poland that (and exactly how) we want to change according to our dreams and plans.

Dates of meetings:

27.06. - 07/05/2019 in Poland (Krasnobrud, Lodz)

31.08. - 09/08/2019 in Ukraine (Kolky village, "Chervona kalyna" san, Lviv city)

The youth exchange project "The future depends on us" was implemented in two countries: Poland and Ukraine. During specially organized joint classes and in an informal setting, young people learned to interact, understand each other, and acquired leadership skills. High school students learned how to edit images using the Photoshop program, got acquainted with composition in photography, and created their own projects. During the travels, they constantly recorded what changes for the better were taking place around them, what should be changed in their small Motherland.

Students presented their work at the "Metamorphoses" exhibition and during meetings with the authorities of Zgezh and Kolka. Public debates were also held with the participation of active citizens, residents of the village, high school students, deputies of Kolkiv OTG, representatives of the authorities. Project participants presented their proposals for changes in the village at the session of the Kolkiv settlement council. But the most important thing, according to the feedback of young people, is the realization that everyone is responsible for a piece of their land, for the future of the country, everyone has the power to change at least their yard, their village for the better. And that's why the future really depends on us.
