Pupils of the support institution "Kolkiv Lyceum" together with young people from the Lyceum named after S. Stasicz (Zgrzej, Poland) implemented the international project "You don't have to be perfect - be real" (September 11-19, 2021). The beneficiary is the Association of Graduates of the Gymnasium and Lyceum named after S.Stashitsa, Zgezh. Financing in the amount of EUR 15,134.59 was provided by the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Exchange Council with a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of Poland.

The students of both lyceums started working together last year, when they implemented the project "Misery does not sleep...-Slavic motifs" online. Although communication via the Internet was interesting and informative, everyone was looking forward to meeting friends - foreign partners. And on September 11, a group of students and teachers of the Kolkiv Lyceum left for the Republic of Poland. For 8 days, high school students studied the common ancient heritage of both peoples, got to know the culture and traditions of Ukraine and Poland, worked on their own self-improvement, harmonization of soul and body.

It was an unusual time - the created atmosphere finally allowed to react to the period with quarantine restrictions. You could enjoy communication, talk about yourself, your needs and problems without fear. Professional psychological master classes, integration games, joint hikes in the mountains, as well as unusual classes in Slavic gymnastics and music therapy became a chance to make many positive changes in the personality of the participants. Many tips and tools are provided that will help you reconcile with yourself, your weaknesses, fears, shape your inner world, develop your strengths and talents, make your dreams come true, and take better care of good relationships with others.

Thanks to this, it was possible to achieve the main goals, which, in addition to the mutual knowledge of the participants, included strengthening the motivation to work effectively on oneself. One of the results are short films in which the participants talk about their dreams, dilemmas, fear of rejection, loneliness. Close contact between Polish-Ukrainian peers made it possible to compare their problems against the background of cultural and moral differences: approach to life, family situation, expectations for others.

Unforgettable impressions were left by walking in the cities of Wrocław and Zgrzeg. Visiting museums, watching presentations, films and communicating with peers helped to get to know Polish culture. The main part of the joint meeting took place in the mountain town of Karpacz, where wonderful landscapes were pleasing to the eye. After completing the joint work, the participants created a film about the impressions and values that they took with them from the project on their further life path.
