"Giving hope - we will find peace" - this is the slogan of the VVM in 2015-2016, which will spread around the world!

      _cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_  VVM is an international annual scouting campaign before the celebration of Christmas, the purpose of which is to spread the symbolic fire lit in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, as a reminder of the coming to earth of Christ - our Savior - who is a symbol of Love and Peace, liberation from sins.

       16 In December, a ceremonial handing over of the Fire by Polish scouts took place on the Ustylug-Zosyn border for the Lutsk and Kolkiv platoons. It has already become a good tradition to carry the Bethlehem Flame of Peace into every home before Christmas, so this year   we are bringing the VVM to our native Kolka for the eighth time. Thanks to the plastuns, the Light spreads throughout Ukraine: to public institutions, schools,  parishes, homes, the fire is brought to orphanages, hospitals, so that those who are far from their families can feel the warmth of the Star of Bethlehem . With this noble cause, plastuns have been uniting the hearts of all Ukrainians for many years: from east to west, from south to north.

       Вифлеємський fire is a symbol of warmth, peace, harmony and goodness. After the deployment of military operations on the territory of Ukraine, the topic of peace became especially relevant. That is why the Light of peace and goodness will shine in Eastern Ukraine in particular, in the places of greatest anxiety and tension: where peace is really not enough.

      "Усі ми розуміємо, що Вифлиємський Вогонь Миру - this is a very beautiful symbol. But if this symbol is filled with our faith, then a miracle will definitely happen. Faith works wonders!"

On December 18, 2015, we passed the fire to two Kolkiv schools of the 1st and 2nd and 3rd grades. And also  at the evening service in the Church of the Holy Cross.

On December 19, 2015, it was handed over to the community of residents of the district and clergy.

On January 6, 2016, we plan to hand over the VVM to the St. Nicholas Church.
