On November 8, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Prayer for Orphans.

      _cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ "Day of Prayer for Orphans" is a day on which believers from various Christian Churches around the world pray to God for protection, blessings and happy families for all orphans, as well as for God's grace for those who accept and raise them in their families. "Prayer Day" takes place annually on the second Sunday of November.

       Цього "All-Ukrainian Day of Prayer for Orphans" took place on Sunday, November 8. The main events took place in churches and religious communities during Sunday services. But any person could join the prayer for disadvantaged children by simply thanking the Lord for his family and praying for a family for those who still only dream of it. 

       У in his address on the occasion   of Orphans' Day, the Head of the UGCC Patriarch Svyatoslav  said: "An orphan is the most vulnerable person in society. That is why the Lord God cares most about orphans. If someone  helps orphans, does charity, then God will reward such a person."

      «Наші молитви про Божу ласку до знедолених children and their families are extremely important, especially in such difficult times for our country. We pray and believe that God will be able to solve the problem of orphanhood and Ukraine will become a country without orphans," the UOC KP press center said in a statement.
