    Persons who are completing general secondary education in 2022 (graduates of 2022) or have already obtained it (graduates of previous years) can take part in the ZNO.

    Graduates of 2022 must pass the state final certification in the form of an external independent assessment. This category includes high school graduates, as well as pupils and students of vocational and technical and higher education institutions, who this year complete general secondary education. Graduates of 2022 register for external examinations at the educational institution where they study.

   Graduates of previous years need to take the external examination if they plan to study before institutions of higher education.To register for external examinations, these graduates must send registration documents to the regional center for evaluating the quality of education or contact the registration points, the list of which is at site Ukrainian Center for Evaluation of the Quality of Education.

   Registration for the external independent evaluation will take place in early 2022.

What subjects should be taken at the external examination

   According to order Ministry of Education, each registered participant is entitled to a free external independent assessment of a maximum of five subjects. 

   The participant can also take tests on a larger number of subjects at the expense of individuals and legal entities.

   Testing takes place in the following subjects:

  • Ukrainian language;

  • Ukrainian language and literature;

  • mathematics (tasks of the standard level);

  • math;

  • History of Ukraine;

  • English;

  • Spanish;

  • German language;

  • French;

  • biology;

  • geography;

  • physics;

  • chemistry.

    Graduates of 2022 must take tests (ie, pass the DPA) in the following subjects:

  • Ukrainian language;

  • math;

  • history of Ukraine or a foreign language (English, Spanish, German or French) - at the choice of the graduate;

  • the fourth subject chosen by the graduate (history of Ukraine, biology, geography, physics, chemistry, English, Spanish, German, French).

   For admission to institutions of higher education, both graduates of 2022 and graduates of previous years must pass an external assessment of those subjects that are required for admission to a specific higher education institution (for example, Ukrainian language, mathematics, physics, etc.). 

    In order to correctly determine which subjects must be taken for admission to a higher education institution, participants need to familiarize themselves with the list of competitive subjects of the external examination for the chosen specialty. Such a list will be stipulated in the terms of admission to institutions of higher education. You can familiarize yourself with it on the site Osvita.ua.

What results are required for DPA, and what are required for admission to higher education

    It is important to remember that the tests for some subjects differ depending on whether the subject is taken as a DPA or as an entrance exam to higher education.

    Yes, there are separate tests with Ukrainian language and with Ukrainian language and literature. Only the results of tasks in the Ukrainian language are counted as DPA. For admission, either results from the Ukrainian language or from the Ukrainian language and literature may be required. It depends on the specialty that the participant intends to enter.

    In addition, the list of VET subjects includesmath and mathematics (standard-level tasks). As a result of DPA in mathematics, the result of completing tasks at the standard level (if the graduate studied mathematics at the standard level) or all test tasks (if the graduate studied mathematics at the professional level) is counted. For admission to institutions of higher education, the results of all tasks of the mathematics test are required. 

For the state final certification with history of Ukraine  take into account the results of the tasks of the "Period XX - beginning of the XXI century" part. For admission to a higher education institution, the results of all test tasks are required.

    As a result of DPA in a foreign language (EnglishspanishGerman or French) the result of the tasks of the standard level (if the graduate studied this foreign language at the standard level) or all test tasks (if the graduate studied this foreign language at the professional level) will be counted. For admission to institutions of higher education, the results of all foreign language test tasks are required. 

What knowledge will be tested at the external examination

    External assessment tests are designed to test knowledge acquired during schooling.

    Having familiarized himself with these programs, the test taker can focus on those topics, concepts, phenomena, dates, works that he will need during the preparation of the external examination.

How to prepare for the external examination

   After the participant has decided on the subjects of external assessment, it is worth starting the preparation for the test. 

    It is necessary to take into account that tests in different subjects cover the school curriculum in different ways. In some places, knowledge for 5th - 11th grades will be needed, in some places - for 7th - 11th, etc. That is why it is necessary to focus on the content programs External examination on a specific subject.
