  Inclusion is the process of including all citizens in society. And first of all, those who have difficulties in physical or mental development. It involves the development and application of those methods that will allow every person to participate equally in public life.

Inclusion is the process of real inclusion of persons with special needs in active social life.

Inclusive education is a complex process of ensuring equal access to quality education for children with special educational needs by organizing their education in general education schools, taking into account the individual characteristics of such children."

   Inclusive education means that all students can study in schools in their place of residence, in general education classes, where they will be supported if necessary, so that all students without exceptions studied and spent time together.

Inclusive education allows:

— To develop individual strengths and talents of the child.

— Accept all children without exception into the general education school system and society.

— To work on achieving an individual goal by participating in the life of the community and their class.

— Involve parents in the learning process and school life.

— To develop a culture of respect and belonging to the school. Have the opportunity to learn and respect the different abilities of others.

- Create friendships with other children

— To positively influence the school, community and respect diversity and inclusion on a broader level.

Advantages of inclusive education:

for children with special educational needs:

— Due to purposeful communication with peers, children's cognitive, motor, language, social and emotional development improves.

— Peers play the role of models for children with special educational needs.

— Mastery of new abilities and skills takes place functionally.

— Education is conducted with a focus on strong qualities, abilities and interests of children.

— Children have opportunities to establish friendly relations with healthy peers and participate in public life.

      How to register a child with special educational needs for inclusive education.

   If your child has SEN (special educational needs), inclusive education will be organized for him. A certificate of conclusion from the IRC is attached to the main package of documents

   Every child with special educational needs has the right to study in the school at the place of residence on inclusive education. For this, only the desire of the parents is needed.

      To register a child for inclusive education in a comprehensive school, it is necessary:

1. Draw up a card of the child's development.

Also, if necessary, the opinion of a psychologist or speech therapist.

2. Receive the conclusion of a psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation.

With the development card, the parents, together with the child, apply to the IRC of the Kolkiv settlement council. After the commission meeting, parents receive an excerpt from the commission protocol with a recommendation for inclusive education

3. Contact the school at your place of residence

  Together with the original extract, parents submit an application to the school director at their place of residence with a request to organize inclusive education for the child.

   Further, the educational institution submits an application to the local education management body, which purchases the necessary equipment, educational materials, appoints an assistant and concludes agreements with specialists who will conduct remedial classes with the child .
